Meet Andrea

Andrea Everingham is the beating heart of One Yoga. Studio Director, teacher, and mentor.

Life has led me on this path and yoga has been my liberator. From my first Ashtanga yoga class in 2002, I knew immediately that this would be my path moving forward… one that would lead me from the fast-paced world of sweat-filled gyms and personal training, to the calm of a peaceful incense-scented studio…

  • I began my teaching journey studying with renowned teachers such Donna Farhi, David Swenson and John Scott, which honed my natural teaching style. My inner child – my spontaneous self, took over. I found a place in California in the highest mountain called Mount Madonna where I began the journey of yoga into Integrated Yoga Therapy.

I then found Jivamukti Yoga, where its freedom and ‘liberation of the soul’ inspired me to advance my own practice and teachings. I wanted to bring a wildness, a freedom to explore yourself, your body on the mat – bringing out the wild of our inner child – with an expression that, for me, moved outside the typical yoga practice.

Yoga, for me, is a way we can express our fusion of energy; wildness, compassion and self-introspection. Yoga teaches us so much more than we think – the more we practise the more is revealed.”

Meet our instructors

  • I am originally from Japan, and I have always had a passion to travel around different countries to feel their own cultures and explore nature’s beauty. My backpacking experience in Australia resulted in me meeting my husband and brought me to England where I had to adapt to a totally different place and lifestyle.

Whilst I felt happiness settling down into a new country, I often felt loneliness, feeling the distance of my family and friends in the far East. When I attended my first Yoga class in 2011, I felt something special. I was gaining not just physical benefit from it, but also mental awareness of my true self.

Since then, I have been practising yoga and gradually I started to feel I would love to pass my experience of yoga to everyone.

After years of practice during the busiest time of my life whilst raising a family and working, I finally felt the right time has come to become a yoga teacher. I am so grateful that I can finally share my practice with you… I hope to see you soon on the mat!

  • I’m a dedicated student and teacher inspired by the transformative power of yoga! My own journey began in 2012 when I discovered yoga as a vital source of support for this human experience. In 2016 I deepened my commitment and embarked upon my first 200hr teacher training. Since then, I have completed my 75hr Yin and 300hr advanced training, yet still feel like I have only dipped my toe in the vast ocean of this study.

I teach deep restoration and relaxation by candlelight, supporting you to drop deeper into your body with essential oils and gentle touch.

I hold Kirtan and singing circles and I love to teach expansive Vinyasa Flow that will stretch your mind and encourage you to play with your edge – reaching new levels within your practice.

I have trained in ‘Breathwork’, and ‘Devotional Singing’ also known as ‘Bhakti Yoga’ and continue to follow where my curiosity leads me on this never-ending journey of yoga.

I look forward to sharing my findings and practising with you. See you on the mat.

  • Yoga found me later in life, after journeying through the hormonal roller coaster of an early Menopause and led me back home to myself.

As an ex-Registered Nurse and Lecturer in Health and Social Care, both health and education have always been my passions. Walking away from a thirty-year professional career, following a deeper calling to be in service to women as my soul purpose.  I now love introducing others to the life changing benefits of yoga and sharing my teachings of yoga philosophy, to live a more balanced, harmonious life.

Other offerings include Menstrual to Menopause Mentoring, helping women create an amazing business, relationships and life, by accessing their monthly superpowers, working with the seasons and moon cycles. Also certified in Reiki level one and two, Menopause Well-Being, Womb Healing and Shamanic Womb Massage.  I regularly create and deliver day and weekend women’s retreats, where I weave my knowledge, teachings and offerings to offer transformational experiences for the women who attend. I also currently hold two Sister Circles a month in Bolton and am excited to be introducing these, along with Womb Wisdom Workshops, to One Yoga.

I am looking forward to meeting you on the mat for ‘Yoga for Happy Hormones’. Are you ready to sink into a nourishing, nurturing and restorative yoga practice? This delicious practice is like giving your body a kiss from the inside out - less about the movements and more about finding your bliss in each moment. A time to connect with the cyclical nature of the feminine flow. To listen and learn the stories of your body and begin paying attention to the messages she's trying to share with you. You will create an intimate relationship with your lower 3 Chakras to root firmly down into your womb space with self-love and self-compassion. To help navigate your life from a place of power by awakening the deep, ancient feminine wisdom available to you. Your body is your home, and you must always return to her.
